The first auction of the year leaves no wishes unfulfilled. Horses of highest quality were chosen by Verden's auction team and the buyers agreed with them.
As soon as the first horse was in the arena, a new record was set. In the history of the January auction no horse ever scored 200.000€. But this highly noble Don Darius/ Royal Blend son "Darjeeling" comes with all qualities of a modern dressage horse and is doubtlessly worth every Euro. Movement dynamic coupled with highest rideability and flawless exterieur, an image of his father, who can show an outstanding breeding value of 167 in dressage. Therefore it is no surprise that "Darjeeling" is now transferred to a professional dressage stable in Luxembourg.
However, also the most expensive jumping horse possesses sire blood. The large-framed "Sam XL" has none other than Stanley as father. With an outstanding breeding value of 155, Stanley can give optimal jumping horse genetic to his progeny. Pure rideability, paired with superior manner and great capability, are consistantly shown by his descendants in sports. This "Sam XL" with an height of 1.80m goes to a jumping stable in Niedersachsen, and he will definitely be heard from at tournaments in the next season.
