Once more, the desirable and sought after Grande Price is going to a Celle sire! This price is yearly rewarded to Hanoverian stallions in the age between 10 and 12 years, which assure knowledge on their heritability through their offspring.
The big chestnut was born in 2005 in the stable of Hans-Heinrich Dittmer, Radbruch, as the third foal of State Premium Mare Fabienne. She herself won the mare show in Luhmühlen and got an award at the Louis-Wiegels-Show 2003. Her sire Fabriano, as well as Edward´s sire Embassy, stand for versatile heritability. So far Edwards breeding balance is no coincidence. Edwards way led straight to the state stud in Celle. Grown up in the stud for young stallions in Hunnesrück, he passed his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with 120,72 points for show-jumping and 142,93 points in dressage. His double talent could not have been documented any better. Thereafter he got licensed and moved into a box in Adelheidsdorf, before he was stationed in Ankum from 2010 onwards. The beginning of his time as a licensed stallion coincided with the release of the guidline "Schwerpunktveranlagung", which aimed at using stallions with a show-jumping pedigree for breeding dressage horses. Edward does not have many offsprings. In eight years 333 offsprings were registered – other stallions have this numer of offsprings in one year. However Edward got a strong fanbase which made it possible for him to cover dressage, show-jumping and half-bred mares. Taking this into concideration the successes of his offsprings can be rated extremely high. His breeding value for young horse classes is secured with 137 for dressage and with 143 for show-jumping and his oldest progeny are about to compete in S-level classes.
Due to the marks of his stallion performance test Edward was accepted for the programm "Hannoveraner Springpferdezucht", with his outstanding movements he won the Team Silver Medall at Euopean Young Rider Dressage Championships 2013 with Charlott-Maria Schürmann. Edward: A real Hannoveraner which passes his double talent to his progeny. Last year his offsprings quailified for all disciplines at the German Federal Championships in Warendorf. The Grande-Prize is connected to the hope that the awarded stallion will have a positive and lasting effect on Hanoverian breeding.
We are very proud of our Eddy – he is worth the award winning!
